DAVID C. WEBB  -  BIO

How can anyone describe him or her self in this kind of forum without sounding like a
pompous jerk or coming across as a narcissistic ass?   I’m not quite sure but I will certainly
give it a shot while trying to avoid such entanglements.  So check out what's in my head...

First and foremost, I want everyone to understand that I often struggle to be creative.  Writing
doesn't come easy but I do feel like I have artistic moments from time to time which keeps me focused
on the task at hand.  The genesis of
Timberlane Dave is a prime example.  It started out more or less
as a terse tribute to my parents for doing a great  job bringing me into this world.  After starting the
manuscript however, I soon realized that I had much more to tell.  Reflecting for months, I became
increasingly amazed at just how vivid and extraordinary my childhood had actually been.  As a result, I
kept pouring my soul into writing an opus around the fondest time in my life as a youngster.  Almost two
years later, I capped it off  for publication.  And that’s why, ultimately,  you are reading this Bio today.

Without going into much detail, I have various interests in stuff that doesn’t transcend the average guy
hitting the ball around the golf course or fishing the deep waters of the Gulf.  I'll take to the porch swing
from time to time to see the sunset, smoke a Marlboro, imbibe a beer or two, catch up with my sister on the
phone, watch a little
Discovery, and receive friends while taking up in-depth current political and
philosophical topics of interest.  Sometimes, I’ll throw on my Precision and ear-out the bass line to a new
Tool song or a riff on the Strat from an old Johnny Marr classic.  But that’s only if I don’t succumb to the
habit of rotating
2112, Morrisey, BEPs, or whatever CURE I can get my hands on.  I've appreciated
creating music with musicians much more talented than I will ever be.  I’ve been fortunate to have attached
myself over several decades to wonderfully gifted individuals with such creative spirits and capabilities.
Now that I have two sons, I find that I like to loose myself in their eyes when they day dream.  I wonder
what they're thinking and if I’ll be a good father.  I deeply love my wife, Blakeley, who has more creative
talent in her wasted breath than my entire being.  She’s a whirlwind tour de force of artistic abilities.  She’s
been one hell of an influence on my life in a positive direction - something I’m grateful for each and every
day.

And just so you know, I was born in Miami though I don’t recollect much while I lived there.  However, the
stuff I do remember is insane and quite intense. You’ll have to read
Timberlane Dave to see what I mean.  I
moved from there to Mobile, AL when I was just two years old.  Besides being away at college and living
briefly in Birmingham, AL a few years after graduation, I’ve been a Mobilian ever since.  From this point, I’ll
refer you to another  web site to gain further insight into my personal life:

there you have it, I’m no more of a
distinguishable character than you.  I'm just
fortunate to have a modest portfolio from
years of hard work and dedication that I'm
proud of.  I look forward to producing even
more stuff in the next few years too.  This
website, I hope, synthesizes it into an
entertaining order.

Now... what's with the UFOs flying around ?
And why am I shooting off Roman candles?
